We are thrilled to welcome Shane Crossett as the new Varsity Boys Lacrosse Assistant Coach at Westhill High School!
Coach Crossett brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to our program. A standout defenseman at SUNY Cortland, he earned numerous accolades, including two-time First Team All-SUNYAC, All-SUNYAC Tournament Team, First Team All-New York, First Team All-ECAC, and was recognized as an All-American. Known for his leadership, he was voted Team Captain by his peers during his senior season in 2011 and was a key part of Cortland’s 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship Team.
His coaching career spans multiple levels of the game. He was an assistant coach at Widener University (2012) and Le Moyne College, where he contributed to the team’s 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship. After returning to coaching in 2019, he spent several seasons at Onondaga Community College before rejoining Le Moyne in 2023 during their transition to Division I.
Now, as he joins the Westhill program for the first time, Coach Crossett brings not only his championship experience but also his passion for developing student-athletes.
Off the field, he holds two master’s degrees—one in Business Administration (Le Moyne College) and another in Supply Chain Management (Syracuse University). He currently resides in Syracuse with his fiancé and their two dogs and works as a District Manager for ALDI.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Crossett to the Westhill lacrosse family! We look forward to an exciting season ahead with him on staff.
